These dates are our Normal Season Dates and should assist you in planning your visit to MONTANA HIGH COUNTRY. Weather conditions may alter some of these dates. If you are interested in dates on the edge or outside of the windows listed below call or email to check on conditions and availability.

• Varmint Hunting – Mid April – Mid June

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

• Trout Fishing – Mid April  – Mid October
• Overnight Float Trips – June – September
• Mountain Lake & Creek – June – September
• Horseback Riding – June – September
• 4 Wheel Drive or Hiking Excursions that include
  Wildlife Viewing – May – September

FALL ACTIVITIES

• Big Game Archery Hunting – September – Mid October
• Big Game Rifle Hunting – Late October – November
  (Licenses go on sale March 15th – Plan & Book Early)
• Upland Bird Hunting – September – October
• Waterfowl Hunting – Late September – December

WINTER ACTIVITIES

• Snowmobiling – Mid December – End of March
• Downhill & Cross-Country Skiing – Mid December – March

Deadline for License Applications

• Elk & Deer – April 1st
• Moose, Goat & Sheep – May 1st
• Antelope, Antlerless Elk & Deer – June 1st
• Bear or Wolf – Available over the counter – must be purchased 24 hours prior to hunting
